FM Qureshi meets Arab League Secretary General in Cairo

CAIRO, Egypt: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Thursday met the Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit at the Headquarters of the Organization in Cairo.
Talking to him, the foreign minister highlighted the importance attached by Pakistan to the member states of the Arab League. He said that with deep bonds of shared faith, culture, and values, Pakistan enjoys strong political, security, trade, and diaspora linkages with all countries of the organization.
Qureshi said that Pakistan’s bilateral cordial relations with Arab Countries should also translate into a closer collaboration with the Arab League.

CAIRO, Egypt: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi was received warmly by the Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shourky at Tahrir Palace in Cairo on Wednesday.
Both the foreign ministers held delegation-level talks before holding a joint press stakeout.
After addressing the media, the two sides continued their consultations over the luncheon hosted at Tahrir Palace in honor of the Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
Qureshi said that Pakistan accorded high priority to its relations with Egypt both as a key Arab State as well as a “Gateway to Africa”.

MIRPUR (Dunya News) – Denouncing India’s stage-managed visit of a group of Delhi based envoys to Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K), AJK President, Sardar Masood Khan said that Kashmir was burning and India had vainly tried to project an image of “normalcy” in the territory.
“The visit is a farce because the envoys know the bitter truth about the occupied valley. They went there out of sheer courtesy. Their presence in selected and ‘sanitised locations’ of Srinagar will not underwrite the occupation authority’s crime against humanity being committed with impunity in the territory”, said Masood Khan, in a statement issued by his office on Thursday.
