Indian diplomat summoned to lodge protest over Dec 19 LoC ceasefire violation
FO says the violation resulted in serious injuries to a 25-year-old woman, resident of Akhori village
ISLAMABAD:
A senior Indian diplomat was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFa) on Sunday to register Pakistan’s strong protest over the recent ceasefire violation by occupation forces along the Line of Control (LoC), resulting in serious injuries to innocent civilians.
A statement issued by the Foreign Office maintained that due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by the Indian occupation forces in Rakhchikri Sector of the LoC on December 19, 2020, 25-year-old resident of Akhori village, Sagheera d/o Muhammad Haneef, sustained serious injuries.
Pakistan, UAE agree to enhance existing bilateral ties
Islamabad, December 18, 2020 (PPI-OT): Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have agreed to enhance the existing strong bilateral ties, in particular in the areas of economy, trade and investment. The understanding came at a meeting between Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.
The two Foreign Ministers reviewed all aspects of bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional and global issues. Shah Mahmood Qureshi elaborated the worsening situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the precarious security situation in South Asia. He also outlined Pakistan’s consistent efforts to support peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan.

Pakistan has taken up with the United Nations the reprehensible attack by India on the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) observers and their vehicle along the Line of Control (LoC), urging the world body to initiate a transparent investigation into the incident.

In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by the Indian occupation forces in Rakhchikri Sector of the LoC on 19th December 2020, 25 year old Sagheera d/o Muhammad Haneef , resident of Akhori village, sustained serious injuries.
