South Dakota ethanol company pleased by Indiana governor s veto

Pierre, SD, USA / DRGNews Apr 28, 2021 | 2:09 PM Monday (April 26, 2021), Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb vetoed a bill that could have reduced sales of E15, a renewable motor fuel blended with 15% bioethanol. The law would have mandated restrictive warning labels on E15 fuel pumps. Joshua Shields, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Communications for POET, says “We applaud Governor Holcomb and Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch for their leadership and for protecting the freedom to fuel with E15. The facts show that E15 represents the most promising opportunity to grow the rural economy, drive dependable demand for Indiana grain and save consumers money at the pump. With Governor Holcomb’s veto, Indiana farmers, biofuel producers and retailers will continue to drive fuel savings and Indiana’s rural economy forward with E15.”

Singh and members of the Sikh Coalition and Sikh United groups during a vigil Thursday at the Greenwood Amphitheater demanded accountability and answers from FedEx, law enforcement and elected officials for the victims families and the survivors. This can t be something that happens and we move on a month later, Singh said. We ll keep pushing authorities to keep investigating; we need details. And most importantly we need to know if FedEx holds merchandise as more valuable than human life.
