Representational image  |  Photo Credit: AP Tehran: A plot to hijack an Iran Air plane flying 100 passengers from Ahwaz to the holy city of Mashhad was foiled by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) of the Iranian Armed Forces, Iran said on Friday. Iranian Republic News Agency (IRNA) said that the plane made an emergency landing at the central Iranian city of Isfahan and the alleged perpetrator was arrested. According to IRGC, the Fokker 100 aircraft, flight number 334, took off from Ahwaz airport after a 10-minute delay, at 10.10 pm on Thursday night.
