West Routt firefighters injured in engine rollover after leaving scene of structure fire

A West Routt Fire Protection District engine rolled down an embankment Saturday night after leaving the scene of a fire.
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS A crew of West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were injured in an engine rollover Saturday evening. The crash occurred as the crew was returning to the station after extinguishing a structure fire at Canyon Valley Ranch.
The engine they were traveling in went off the edge of Valley Drive, which was steep and icy. The vehicle rolled several times and came to rest approximately 150 to 200 feet down a steep embankment.

DENVER The state s first COVID-19 vaccines were administered to frontline health-care workers Monday afternoon after Colorado received its first shipment of Pfizer s vaccine Monday morning.
“This is just the start of the distribution,” Gov. Jared Polis said. “It’ll help protect some of our most vulnerable, the tireless COVID workers who work in COVID wards every day, and then more will become available for the general population to help end the pandemic.

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS On Sunday, the first shipment of Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines left Michigan, with the first injections in the U.S. anticipated to begin Monday for high-risk health care workers.
Routt County has been preparing for months and was identified by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) as one of the regional hubs for distribution.
The first shipment of Pfizer vaccine will be distributed among 46 sites, and the first of the Moderna vaccine will go to about 150 sites, according to CDPHE.
