8 SALT LAKE CITY- The 151st Air Refueling Wing celebrated the Month of the Military Child by providing free garden kits to Airmen on April 29 at Roland R. Wright Air National Guard Base.
The event was hosted by Scott Jones, Airman, and Family Readiness Program manager, as a fun way for military families to show their appreciation to their children. The month of the military child is important because it helps us show appreciation, love, and understanding for the children of our military families, said Jones. It helps make the children understand that they are a valuable part of their family and play an important role.

SALT LAKE CITY â About 120 Utah Air National guard airmen are deploying this week in support of Operations Inherent Resolve, Freedom s Sentinel and Spartan Shield.
The airmen are members of the 151st Air Refueling Wing and they ll support aerial-refueling missions, which extends global reach and power, and significantly increases the lethality and sustainment of air power, a news release from the Utah National Guard states.

SALT LAKE CITY One Utah Air National Guard member was spending time with family at an eastern Utah reservoir, while another was at his civilian job at a shooting range.
Both are credited with saving lives of others in those off-duty moments last year and were honored Saturday for their courage.
