Texting truck driver caught over limit
A truck driver will have to face the next year without a driver’s licence after being caught allegedly using his mobile phone and over the legal alcohol limit in Malvern East this morning.
State Highway Patrol officers were patrolling the Monash Freeway when they observed the driver of a medium-rigid truck allegedly using his mobile phone about 6.30am.
The vehicle was intercepted on the Bourke Road exit ramp where the 48-year-old driver returned an alleged evidentiary breath test of .158.
The Endeavour Hills man had his licence immediately suspended for 12 months and is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving and using a mobile phone while driving.

The Michigan Department of State will enable new online services for customers on March 16, 2021.

View the status of the requested driver’s license or state ID
Request and obtain a driving record
Add a motorcycle endorsement to an eligible driver’s license
PSBs should operate like proper banks if they can’t be privatized

Bank unions plan to go on a strike on 15 and 16 March to oppose the planned privatization of public sector banks (PSBs). In the budget, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced plans to privatize two PSBs, apart from IDBI Bank.

Angus Energy has announced, further to the RNS of 30 November 2020 that the Company has received a best efforts expression of commitment in the form of a conditional Mandate Letter, for between £8 and £9 million toward the proposed
£12 million Saltfleetby Equipment Finance and Field Development Loan Facility from a major multi-national institution. The Mandate commitment is conditional also on the participation of other institutions and investors for the balance of £3 to £4 million.
