Public sector rent rise in tenants best interests
Increasing public sector rents by 1% from April next year is in the tenants best interests.
That s the message from Infrastructure Minister Tim Baker as those living in the Island s 6,200 public sector homes face increased costs of between 78p and £1.52 per week.
The Department of Infrastructure agreed to the price rise to cover the cost of maintenance.
