The world reacts after Israeli forces injure hundreds in Al-Aqsa network News of Gaza
Reactions around the world have spread after days of unrest in Jerusalem, where hundreds were injured and dozens detained on Monday after Israeli forces searched the Al-Aqsa mosque complex.
Palestinians have held numerous sit-ins over the past two weeks in the occupied area of East Jerusalem and in some places to denounce Israel’s attempt to forcibly evict residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood from the Jewish settlements.
In response to the crackdown, Hamas, the group that controls the Gaza Strip, issued an ultimatum to Israel, saying it had until 18:00 (15:00 GMT) to withdraw its forces from the Al-Aqsa mosque, which is also the third holiest site in Islam. they are worshiped by the Jews.

CAIRO, May 10 (Xinhua) Egypt condemned on Monday the storming by the Israeli forces of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem.
In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry held Israel responsible for the rapid and dangerous developments which foretell more tension and escalation.
The ministry also stressed the need to stop all practices that violate the sanctity of the mosque, especially during the Ramadan, in line with the rules of international law.
Meanwhile, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Tor Wennesland, discussed earlier in the day the dangerous developments in Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories.

CAIRO Two deputies in the Egyptian parliament Amr Darwish and Imad Khalil made urgent statements May 4 addressed to Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry in regard to what they described as “ongoing provocations by the Ethiopian monks toward the Egyptian monks in Jerusalem.”
In their statements, the parliamentarians demanded Shoukry to “inform them of the measures taken by his ministry to defend the rights of Egypt, and the rights of the Egyptian monks in Deir al-Sultan in Jerusalem.”
This comes in the wake of the renewed crisis at the Deir al-Sultan monastery in the Old City of Jerusalem after Ethiopian monks erected a tent and raised the flag of their country inside, Sky News Arabia reported April 30. They noted that the monastery is owned by the Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church, so this action has greatly angered the Egyptian monks.

Turkey and Egypt concluded their exploratory talks” that discussed the necessary steps leading to the normalization of relations between the two countries.
Following the meeting, Turkish officials showed a desire to accelerate the steps of rapprochement with Cairo, while the Egyptian officials remained cautious.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry described the talks as frank and in-depth, while Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that his country s relations with Cairo will reach high levels soon.

A day after some of the worst violence in Jerusalem for years saw 200 Palestinians and 17 Israeli police officers wounded, Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi announced on Saturday that troop levels would be bolstered.
The announcement came after Defense Minister Benny Gantz held an assessment of the security situation with senior officials from the military, police and Shin Bet.
At the end of the meeting, the IDF said there would be a reinforcement of troop numbers as part of preparations for a potential escalation.
