It is in America’s interest to develop a coherent and coordinated strategy for the Atlantic region. While the geopolitical conditions of the Atlantic region may differ from those of the Indo-Pacific, a strategy is needed to mitigate the pernicious activities of the Chinese Communist Party. The aim of a U.S. Atlantic strategy is to make the Atlantic region resilient against malicious Chinese and Russian influence by expanding regional cooperation, and helping to make U.S. partners secure, sovereign, and prosperous. America is a global power with global interests and responsibilities. It cannot turn a blind eye to competition in its own hemisphere.

Israel is working towards formalizing relations with a fifth Muslim country during U.S. President Donald Trump s term, which ends next month, an Israeli government minister told Ynet on Wednesday.
The White House has brokered rapprochements between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco this year, with Morocco hosting an Israeli-U.S. delegation on Tuesday to flesh out the upgrade in relations.

Hints have been dropped that major financial inducements are on the table to persuade Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim majority nation, to recognise Israel.
In an interview published on Tuesday with the Bloomberg financial news group, Adam Boehler, chief executive of the US International Development Finance Corporation, said that Indonesia could come in for between $1 and $2 billion more in funding, if it becomes the latest country to recognise and normalise relations with the Jewish state.
Israeli Health Ministry Director General Hezi Levy has ordered his staff to prepare for the possibility of sending oxygen machines.
“It is fitting that we choose to honor Jared Kushner in this way. Jared, you’ve played a critical role in the inception and in the implementation of the Abraham Accords. These accords have shown the world, and the entire Middle East of course, how to shed hostility and conflict and how to embrace the path of life and peace,” he said.
Also participating in the ceremony were US Assistant to the President for International Negotiations Avi Berkowitz, US International Development Finance Corporation CEO Adam Boehler and US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman.
