Walmart to allow vaccinated customers, workers to stop wearing masks

Retail giant Walmart has announced that fully vaccinated employees and customers no longer need to wear face coverings when inside the stores
In an internal memo, Walmart has directed its U.S. stores, Sam s Clubs, and supply chain facilities to allow vaccinated customers and Sam s Club members to shop without masks
The retailer, however, said it would uphold mask requirements wherever mandated by city and state ordinances and communicate any change in the requirements to local stores

U.S. deaths from COVID-19 fell to their lowest numbers last week since March 2020
While the current daily average of deaths is hovering at 600 people, this is down from over 3,000 in January 2021
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that 47 percent of the U.S. population has received one dose of the Covid vaccination, while 37 percent has received both doses
WASHINGTON D.C.: U.S. deaths from COVID-19 fell to their lowest numbers last week since March 2020.
U.S. health officials reported that 4,165 Covid deaths were reported for the week ending May 16.
Contrary to CDC, restaurant association says no face masks for dining

The U.S. National Restaurant Association will no longer suggest that restaurant customers wear face masks inside restaurants
Although the U.S. CDC said fully vaccinated people do not need to continue wearing face masks, it recommended that they should still wear masks indoors
The organization represents more than 500,000 U.S. restaurants of all sizes
WASHINGTON D.C.: The U.S. National Restaurant Association will no longer suggest that restaurant customers wear face masks inside restaurants.
This follows an announcement by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control saying fully vaccinated people do not need to continue wearing face masks.
