In 2016, it won all the 12 seats in Bodoland. The BPF has decided to contest the polls alone despite offers from the Congress-led opposition alliance and regional front of two parties. On the other hand, the BJP will fight the polls in Bodoland area in alliance with new ally United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL).
