BILLINGS - Two more Yellowstone County residents have died from COVID-19 illness, according to RiverStone Health, Yellowstone County’s public health department.

BILLINGS â Yellowstone County health officials reported Wednesday an additional death due to COVID-19.
RiverStone Health said in a press release that on Feb. 23 a woman in her 70s died at a Billings hospital.
So far, 236 Yellowstone County residents have lost their lives to the pandemic. This includes nine people who have died in February and 21 who died in January.
New cases of the virus are being reported daily and 31 patients with COVID-19 related illness were hospitalized this week at Billings Clinic or St. Vincent Healthcare, the press release states. Among those patients, 11 were in intensive care and four were intubated as of Tuesday.

BUTTE â The Butte-Silver Bow Health Department announced two additional deaths due to COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the total number of COVID-related deaths in the county to 80.
According to a Health Department news release, the deaths in Butte-Silver Bow equate to 223 fatalities per 100,000 population, the highest per capita ranking among the most populous counties in Montana.
âCOVID-19 has hit our elderly population hard, so it means all the more to our Unified Health Command that we are vaccinating people as quickly as possible,â Health Officer Karen Sullivan said.
