The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said it is investigating a double shooting Saturday night. The Sequoyah County Sheriff s Office said it learned of the shooting around 8:30 p.m. near mile marker 293 west of Vian on Interstate 40. Authorities said two men were shot and left in the roadway. The men are currently in critical condition. OSBI said it believes the two men were Good Samaritans who were helping out their suspected shooter, who OSBI said is pictured above. OSBI also said it is searching for a man identified as Lee King, who is considered a person of interest in its investigation.

OSBI looking for suspect accused of shooting two people

KOAM July 18, 2021 10:01 PM Associated Press VIAN, Okla. – Authorities say they’re searching for man suspected of shooting and injuring two men on Interstate 40 in eastern Oklahoma after they drove him to a convenience store to get gas for his vehicle. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says two men with gunshot wounds were found lying on the interstate near Vian at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday night. The OSBI says that the suspect fled in his vehicle after the shooting. At about 4:30 a.m. Sunday, police in Antlers about 130 miles (209 kilometers) southwest of Vian began pursuing the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect then fled on foot.
