Ohio EPA requests nominations for drinking water projects

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency is accepting nominations for drinking water infrastructure improvements that need financial assistance through the state’s Water Supply Revolving Loan Account.
Highlights for 2022 priorities include $10 million in principal forgiveness to be offered for priority areas to residential areas currently using contaminated private wells or wells with inadequate supply; lead service line replacement projects that will continue to be an area of emphasis for principal forgiveness funding; and no interest loans to be offered to projects focused on per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances remediation, lead service line replacement, system regionalization, project planning and design and harmful algal bloom issues.
