Katara to organise 10th Halal Qatar Festival next month

Doha: The highly popular annual Halal Qatar Festival presented by the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) marks a milestone as it turns 10 this year.
Announcing the heritage event via its official social media accounts yesterday, Katara said the festival will be held from February 13 to 21 at the Cultural Village’s Southern Area.
When this nine-day event kicks off next month, Katara will once again be a one-stop shop as in the previous year as the festival coincides with the Mahaseel Souq whose location is adjacent to the festival venue.

Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) will organize Katara International Arabian Horse Festival from Feb 2 to Feb 6, 2021.
In a statement, Katara General Manager, Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, said that the festival will be held at the esplanade of Katara for the first time, with great international participation in the competitions for purebred Arabian horses, pointing out that the festival will feature a total prize money of QR13 million.
Al Sulaiti added that Covid-19 precautionary measures will be applied during the festival to ensure the safety of the participants and the fans, through coordination with the Ministry of Public Health.

Doha: Local dates are a major crowd-puller at the Mahaseel Festival, organised for the fifth consecutive year by the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara).
The stalls selling wide variety of dates grown in Qatar as well as honey have witnessed steady influx of buyers from different nationalities due to the high quality and new varieties of these local products offered by participating local farms and Qatari companies.
One of the local companies taking part in the festival is the National Food Manufacturing Company (NAFCO), which sells some of the finest varieties of local dates which have been cleaned, sorted and packed using the latest machines and devices in its factory in Doha.

The Ibn Al Rayb Cultural Street at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), which launched yesterday with a book fair, provides a golden opportunity for publishers like Dar Al Sharq Group to directly reach out to a wider audience. Katara opens new literary hub ‘Ibn Rayb’ Cultural Street

The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) opened yesterday the ‘Ibn Rayb’ Cultural Street which is located behind Katara’s amphitheater, in cooperation with the Qatari Publishers and Distributors Forum.
