Secretary of the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee CECPC of the All Progressives Congress APC, Sen. James Akpanudoedehe has declared that the era when one “strong man” dominated the politics of the ruling party is over.
Speaking at the 2020 annual conference of the APC Press Corps in Abuja on Friday, Akpanudoedehe said the Gov. Mai Mala Buni-led CECPC has been able to entrench internal democracy in the party, making it difficult for any individual to hijack it.
“The membership Registration, Revalidation and update aims at giving the party back to the people. When the people are involved in a transparent selection process, they will be more interested in the process and this cures voters’ apathy and unnecessary dissension in the polity.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for practically leading from the front and ensuring that the abducted Kankara schoolboys regained their freedom.
The Acting Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Yekini Nabena, in a statement issued Friday said, while the opposition elements were out to make some political gains, the President was tireless having sleepless nights on the solution to the sad development.
He said APC as a party thanked God for wisdom to successfully free the innocent boys from their abductors, saying, “this, indeed has shown the difference.
Nabena added: “The All Progressives Congress (APC) is extremely happy at the cheering news that the abducted Kankara students have been released to the Katsina state government.
