Dan Crenshaw hopeful to recover sight following emergency surgery
FOX 26 Political Reporter Greg Groogan spoke with Crenshaw about his treatment.
HOUSTON - Nine years ago while serving the nation with the Navy Seals in Afghanistan, a blast from an improvised explosive destroyed one of Dan Crenshaw s eyes and quite nearly took the other. I ve never had a normal eye. I ve always had a severely damaged eye, Crenshaw said. I wake up in the morning and I can t see anything. That s my normal state. Because I have no lens, it was destroyed in the blast.
Over time, scar tissue from the wound slowly pushed beneath his retina causing it to detach - a crisis made more serious, as the now Congressman is quick to point out because he has no backup.

Congressman Dan Crenshaw made his first public appearance Thursday since eye surgery left the Texas Republican effectively blind last month.
Crenshaw spoke to his colleagues virtually while attending the House Energy and Commerce meeting with Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Michael Regan.
Just now: @RepDanCrenshaw joined @HouseCommerce hearing for first time since emergency eye surgery. It s good to be back with y all.still can t see y all! Don t need to feel bad for me. We raise our right hand and then we ask to go to war, and sometimes this is what happens. pic.twitter.com/6FXhhR2N1E
Michael Flynn, Lin Wood and Mike Lindell Pose in Front of Path to Trump Board

Former national security adviser Michael Flynn, attorney Lin Wood and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell have been photographed in front of a board designed to show how to influence former President Donald Trump through individuals and organizations in his orbit.
The three men posed for the picture while attending last week s Health and Freedom Convention in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, where they were featured speakers.
The board s purpose was explained in a pre-conference behind-the-scenes video, during which podcaster Clay Clark who organized the event filmed a man giving a tour of the event s pre-registration process. At one point, the men demonstrated a giant whiteboard with Trump s face in the middle, surrounded by an intricate web of his associates and supporters names and photos, as well as arrows appearing to denote their proximity to him. The board also contained Biblical phrase
Daniel Egvedt, you may or may not remember, is the sociopath who went inside the Capitol building three times, fighting with police officers each time. He faces nine counts for his actions but wants to be released from jail because -wait for it- he s been the victim of police brutality. In one of the videos he claims the riot was justified because This is the people s house and it s been taken over. The constitution says to preserve and protect against all enemies foreign and domestic. Photos of Egvedt with Rep. Dan Crenshaw, Lara Trump, and Mike Pence adorned his social media so one assumes he s as MAGA as it gets. With any luck at all he ll get some serious jail time to account for his actions, and his devotion to all things Trump.
