Cole Gallery presents three new shows this month
Cole Gallery presents three artists’ works this month. Until the end of the month stop by and see the impressive works by JM Brodrick, Robin Weiss and Kimberly Adams. Coming this March, the monthly Art Walk will become a month-long event called Art View
. Businesses are encouraged to hang local art at their locations starting the first of the month so visitors can explore all month long. Art can be hung in windows for enjoyment if your business is not open to foot traffic right now.

Cascadia Art Museum is reopening on Thursday, Feb. 4 with a new exhibition

Originally from Woodside, N.Y., Smith (1922-2009) was a well-known Seattle sculptor whose worked shifted from an early focus on biomorphic abstractions of the human form to more condensed set of geometric shapes later in his career.
After completing his college degree in industrial design at the American Art School and Pratt Institute in 1948, he earned his BFA in sculpture at the University of Washington in 1952 where he also taught design and drawing. He was recognized as one of

Cascade Symphony Orchestra to present annual Children’s Concert – online – Saturday, Feb. 6
The annual Children’s Concert by Cascade Symphony Orchestra will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6. This year’s event,
Discover Your Passion, will be presented virtually. The event, which is great for kids from ages 5 to 12, will be online and free of charge through the generosity of orchestra donors and patrons.

Rising Star competition will be introduced at the event. They are 15-year-old cellist William Miguel Johnson of Issaquah, 9-year-old pianist Jimmy Huang of Woodway and 14-year-old flutist Joseph Jeon of Mukilteo. Johnson, who is the winner of the competition, will perform the Gigue from Cello Suite No. 3, BWV 1009, by composer Johann Sebastian Bach. A student at Apex Virtual High School, Johnson is a member of the Seattle Youth Symphony and has won several awards, includin

12 Days of Christmas Cards
Beginning Sunday, Dec. 13 and running through Thursday, Dec. 24, the 12 Days of Christmas Cards auction features 12 holiday cards made by Northwest artists. You can own a rare piece of Northwest art history. All original art works for the auction have been donated to Cascadia Art Museum and represent duplicates in their collection. Remember to check out the museum store for holiday gifts during this time as well.
