Farmers Union Announce Plan to March to Parliament on Budget Day
The protesting farmers remain firm in their stand of repealing the three new farm laws and their agitation will continue till their demands are met.

Protesting farmer unions on Monday announced they will walk towards the parliament from different locations on February 1, the day the Union Budget will be presented.
Darshan Pal of the Krantikari Kisan Union said the protesting farmers remain fixed on their demand that the three Central farm laws should be repealed. He said the protest will continue until all their demands are met.

NEW DELHI: Farmers at Delhi s three protest sites Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur border points were busy with their last-minute preparations on Monday ahead of their much-anticipated tractor parade on January 26.
A five-layer security cover comprising of border pickets, inner, middle and outer security has been deployed in and around the city to maintain law and order during the Republic Day ceremony and the proposed tractor parade, a senior police officer said. March to be peaceful
The farmers said that one of the major highlights of the parade on Tuesday will be the jhankis (tableaux) that will be led by a trolley carrying the sacred text of the Guru Granth Sahib.

A day before the scheduled tractor rally, the farmers protesting against the central government s three agricultural reform laws on January 25 announced their plans to march to Parliament on foot. On February 1, we will march on foot towards Parliament in Delhi from different locations, said Darshan Pal of the Krantikari Kisan Union, one of the nearly 40 groups protesting around Delhi.
