EUGENE, Ore. – An outgoing Chihuahua named Beans arrived at Greenhill Humane Society on July 13 as a transfer from another animal shelter.
Beans is a sweet, loving, playful dog with plenty of pep in his step for 12 years old. He would make a wonderful addition to a mature family. Since he is an older dog, children may be too much for him.

Texas native James Northcott also known as Trey, was Cami’s best friend. They lived together in Eugene for about three months.

EUGENE, Ore. Cami, an emotional support dog whose owner died on July 4th, is heading back home Sunday to Texas.
Texas native James Northcott, also known as Trey, was Cami’s best friend. They lived together in Eugene for about three months.
Trey passed away suddenly from a pulmonary embolism. He went to take a nap and never woke up.

Megan Brezovar with the Greenhill Humane Society in Eugene said securing pets is vital.
“It’s a dangerous time for animals because when they do flee, they go missing, and we see a lot of lost-and-found animals during the 4th of July time,” Brezovar said. “The best thing that every pet owner could do is be preventative; put their animals in a safe, cool place.”
