Driver faces manslaughter, DUII after 3 teens die in crash June 02 2021
Devin Kurtz, 18, of Estacada, was arrested after a crash on Springwater Road killed three people. The driver in a fatal Memorial Day crash that killed three teenagers and injured another two has been arrested.
On Tuesday, June 1, 18 year old Estacada resident Devin Kurtz was booked in the Clackamas County Jail on three counts of second degree manslaughter, DUII, reckless endangering, reckless driving, third degree assault DUII and second degree criminal mischief. He had previously been in the hospital for treatment of a punctured lung.
Bail was set at $780,000.

A climber who was descending Mount Hood in Oregon fell 500 feet to his death this weekend.
The 63-year-old, whose name was not shared by authorities, was climbing the mountain with his adult son on Sunday during “an unusually busy weekend for climbing” at the volcano when he fell from an elevation of 10,500 feet around 9 a.m., the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office shares.
The department set up a search-and-rescue team after witnesses called 911, the
New York Post reports. The Portland Mountain Rescue and the Hood River Crag Rats search-and-rescue team pitched in to help with the search.

ESTACADA, Ore. Three young people died and two were injured in a crash Monday night near Estacada, the Clackamas County Sheriff s Office reported Tuesday.
The crash happened at 9:20 p.m. in the area of South Redland Road and South Springwater Road, near Milo McIver State Park.
A witness told sheriff s deputies that the driver of a black sedan appeared to lose control of the car and go into a spin. The sedan crossed the road s center line and crashed into an oncoming Ford F350 pickup truck.
Five teens, ages 14-18, were in the black sedan. Two passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. A third passenger was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital and was later pronounced dead. The fourth passenger, a 17-year-old, is being treated for unspecified injuries at a hospital.
