UW to require COVID vaccines for fall semester
The University of Washington is the latest college in Washington state to announce a COVID-19 vaccine requirement for returning to campus in the fall.
CHENEY, Wash. - Eastern Washington University will not require students to get a COVID-19 vaccine to attend school this fall.
The announcement from EWU Interim President David May breaks with most, if not all, other major colleges in the state. Downtown Spokane Partnership
SPOKANE, Wash. Eastern Washington University’s athletic director wrote a letter to the Spokane Public School board in support of the proposed downtown stadium, saying she would like to discuss having two university athletic programs play there.
4 News Now obtained a copy of the letter from Lynn Hickey through a public records request.
In it, Hickey referenced her time in San Antonio, Texas, saying she saw the utilization of a public sports venue as a “tremendous asset not only to the city and professional sports, but also for both secondary and collegiate sports programs.”
