As expected, the NCAA s Transfer Portal has been incredibly active in the 11 months since a blanket waiver provided an extra year of eligibility to all student-athletes affected by last spring s cancellations.
Keep in mind that entry into the Portal simply means that players can communicate with other college programs and learn their options, as many players (UVA s Payton Cormier, for example) haved chosen to stay put or graduate and opt not to use the extra year. Set to become four-year starters on offense, Michigan seniors
Alex Buckanavage and
Kevin Mack entered the Portal as graduate students, a spokesperson for UM confirmed this week.

For the past several years, Oregon has struggled to recruit the wide receiver position.
But Oregon bucked that trend in the class of 2021 with the best collection of pass-catchers in program history – and possibly the country.

Entering his Signing Day announcement, 247Sports four-star prospect Avante Dickerson was the top unsigned cornerback in the country.
By early Wednesday morning that was no longer the case, as the 6-foot, 170-pound defensive back, out of Westside High School (Omaha, Nebraska), announced his commitment to the Oregon Ducks over Nebraska and others on the 247Sports National Signing Day Show.
Moments later, the official Twitter account of the Oregon Ducks football program announced that he had signed his binding National Letter of Intent:
