Advent
In contrast to western coca-cola cultures, Christmas in Poland is not a shameless celebration of consumerism. Here, the holiday season doesnât kick off with slashed prices and stampedes outside department stores, but rather a sobering four-week period known locally as â

Carrie Underwood Stuns In Red Satin Dress To Perform New Christmas Song
Carrie Underwood wowed in a festive red satin dress as she performed an original Christmas song in a video posted to her Instagram account this week. Carrie got into the holiday spirit as part of Cracker Barrel s Sounds of the Season series.

Santos, the acting parish priest, said the inspiration came from the patron saint of the parish and from the birthplace of Jesus Christ.
“Bethlehem means house of bread. Saint Nicholas is also known for bread. He was healed from a deadly sickness when our Blessed Mother appeared to him and instructed him to eat the bread which she gave,” he said.
