CSTO countries intent on tighter coordination of security agencies

MOSCOW, 29 April (BelTA) – Collective Security Treaty Organization member states intend to step up coordination of operations of security agencies, BelTA learned from CSTO Press Secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov after Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon met with secretaries of the security councils of the CSTO member states in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on 29 April.

MOSCOW, 29 April (BelTA) – The Collective Security Treaty Organization sees an explosive growth of cybercrimes. Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas made the statement after a session of the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the CSTO member states in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on 29 April, BelTA learned from CSTO Press Secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov.
The official said: “In conditions of the universal pandemic and strict isolation, the so-called lockdown cyber security has acquired a new status that determines global and regional stability matters. The forced accelerated transition of state administration, business, and private life to the digital environment amid the pandemic led to a noticeable increase in crimes in the sphere of information and communication technologies.”

New Delhi, Apr 29 (IANS): India and Kyrgyzstan, a tiny but picturesque Central Asian nation, known for its idyllic lakes and mountains, have just concluded a joint military exercise.
Seen in isolation, Khanjar-VIII, the name of the manoeuvres, may not mean much. But when clubbed with China s long shadow over the region, which has discomforted both Russia, the traditional heavyweight, and India, which is anxious that its deep cultural ties with Central Asia may soon be eroded under Beijing s influence, it acquires an altogether different meaning. It is apparent that China s push into Central Asia has alarmed both Moscow and New Delhi, opening the door for greater collaboration with each other.
