Hurstbourne Real ID office in Louisville closed due to COVID-19 case

LOUISVILLE, Ky.   The Real ID office on Leesgate Road in Hurstbourne is temporarily closed following a confirmed COVID-19 case involving staff, officials said Thursday. The Hurstbourne - Louisville Driver Licensing Regional Office is temporarily CLOSED for sanitation as a precaution following a confirmed case of COVID-19 involving staff, Kentucky s official Real ID account tweeted Thursday morning.  We apologize for the inconvenience and continually strive to keep employees and Kentuckians safe. Customers with appointments will be rescheduled or offered services at another KYTC driver licensing facility. We also will be cooperating with the Kentucky Department of Public Health. According to data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Commonwealth has seen approximately 20 percent of its population vaccinated. Approximately 25 percent of Kentuckians 18 years and older have been vaccinated, while approximately 53 percent of those 65 years and older have been vaccinated. In Whitley County, 18 percent of Whitley Countians have been fully vaccinated, with approximately 24 percent of those folks being 18 years and older. Around 60 percent of Whitley County’s residents 65 and older have been vaccinated
