Two COVID-19 associated deaths were reported Thursday (January 28) by Catawba County Public Health, increasing the total to 236. There were 97 new cases reported Thursday, increasing the overall total to 15,289. 106 people were hospitalized with the coronavirus.
Burke County Public Health reported two virus-associated deaths Thursday, increasing the total to 115. One individual was in their 60s and one was in their 80s and both were hospitalized. 96 new cases were reported Thursday, raising the total to 8,515. There were 19 people hospitalized with COVID-19.
Four coronavirus-related deaths were reported Thursday in Caldwell County, lifting the total to 113. Two patients were between the ages of 65 and 74, and two were over the age of 75.
