Families in Red Lake, Ear Falls, and Kenora are being urged to sign-up today for the Early Years Arts Festival.
The four day event is hosted by the Kenora Catholic District School Board.
The annual festival is usually just one day but is being expanded to a virtual platform this year because of COVID-19.
The free sessions are every Sunday at 11:00 am for the month of March.
Early Years Coordinator Marnie Buffett was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Thursday and she promised a great four days.
“Two of the artists from Red Lake actually sent me a recording of the activity they are planning on doing for the event and so my daughter and I decided to check it out and I can honostly say it was such a blast. The artists had us up and dancing and creating and we were laughing.”

2021-2022 Draft School Year Calendar Option 1/Board Website
Local students will start and end the 2021-2022 school year early.
Results from the online survey show 74 per cent voted for calendar option one, which will students starting school on September 1 2021 and ending on June 24 2022.
There will be two PD days at the end of August before the first day of school.
Overall, there were 3, 703 responses to the survey, with 59 percent identifying as parents, 28 percent staff, 9 percent were students and 4 percent identified as community or other.
The draft school year calendar will now be submitted to the Ministry of Education for approval.
