Operators suggest a more streamlined process for the government-sponsored tourism package for senior travellers aged over 55.
The process and conditions of this campaign should not be as complicated as the ongoing campaign in order to allow senior tourists to take full advantage of the programme, said Maiyarat Pheerayakoses, vice-president of the Association of Domestic Travel (ADT).
Ms Maiyarat, who is also managing director of Lee Ben Travel Service, said the elderly are a potential group that still has purchasing power despite the economic downturn.
This group will make their travel decisions faster once the government offers a subsidy with convenient methods.
