Peace Council to Assess Views Gathered on US Peace Plan
National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib on Saturday said a 15-member committee of political leaders within the High Council of National Reconciliation (HCNR) is expected to review the outcome of the assessments gathered on US-proposed peace plan by the State Ministry for Peace Affairs on Sunday.
“The assessments were conducted and we gathered views, Mohib said. We hope to reach a conclusion and then offer it to the grand meeting of the peace council.
Meanwhile, Ata Mohammad Noor, the head of a new faction of Jamiat-e-Islami party called on the Afghan political leaders to attend the upcoming UN-led conference on Afghanistan from a unified stance and a single peace plan.
