The Rock County Public Health Department will be offering an evaluation of its Community Health Improvement Plan. A Master of Public Health student from UW-Madison will be offering the review. The presentation will cover the successes and challenges of the Community Health Improvement Plan from 2017 to 2020, and how Rock County organizations and community members contributed. The evaluation will address the priority areas of health equity, healthy weights, oral health, and behavioral health. The presentation is set for 6:00 p.m. Wednesday night on the Rock County Public Health Department’s Facebook page.
2020 was a year of perseverance and unity for Cambridge officials

City department heads gathered at the Cambridge City Council meeting on Monday to present their year end reports as part of the State of the City Address.
Among all the reports were several common threads; each echoed the sentiment of what a year 2020 had been, perseverance and how they worked together to get through the year.

Cambridge Fire Department Chief Jeff Deeks began by telling the council members and audience that 2020 was challenging not just for his department but for everyone. I believe that sometimes we are tested , not to show our weaknesses, but to discover our strengths, Deeks said. 2020 has tested all of us, every person, every business, but I will tell you that this department and your firefighters did not back down.

What: Councilors will vote on a consent agenda that includes a resolution to approve a low-income rental housing property tax exemption for Garfield Park and an appointment to the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission.
They ll then hear public comment and make an appointment to the Toxics Board.

LUCAS COUNTY, Ohio A coalition of community health improvement organizations is working to identify and develop ways to improve the quality of life for residents and workers in Lucas County.
The Healthy Lucas County coalition is asking for anyone who lives or works in Lucas County to complete a survey to assess the overall quality of life within the community.
The survey includes questions about the COVID-19 pandemic, racism and other forms of discrimination, healthcare, economic opportunity, safety and other aspects of the community. The survey also asks for respondents to name their main quality of life concern in Lucas County.
