Three films from France have made it to the section, including “Night of the Kings” by Philippe Lacote, filmmaker Emmanuel Mouret’s romantic-comedy “Love Affair(s)” and the drama-comedy “The Big Hit”, helmed by Emmanuel Courcol.

According to an official release by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), the Country in Focus is a special segment that recognizes the cinematic excellence and contributions of a particular country. This section at the 51st IFFI will showcase four films, namely: Jibondhuli by Tanvir Mokammel, Meghmallar by Zahidur Rahim Anjan, Under Construction by Rubaiyat Hossain, and Sincerely Yours, Dhaka by Nuhash Humayun, Syed Ahmed Shawki, Rahat Rahman Joy, MD RobiulAlam, Golam Kibria Farooki, Mir Mukarram Hossain, Tanvir Ahsan, Mahmudul Islam, Abdullah Al Noor, Krishnendu Chattopadhyay, Syed Saleh Ahmed Sobhan.
