A MAN dragged a woman to a bench where she thought she was going to be raped in a Hampshire park. Jeremy Blake Simmons grabbed his victim from behind before kicking her in the face during an attack in Leigh Road Park, Eastleigh a court heard. The 20-year-old told police during an interview he kicked her in an attempt to stop her from screaming . Simmons claimed he had been trying to rob the 19-year-old woman. However, he did not manage to take anything because the police arrived.

Man charged and woman arrested on suspicion of dealing Class A drugs POLICE have charged a man and arrested a woman in connection with Class A drugs offences in Southampton. The arrests followed a raid by officers from Hampshire Constabulary on Friday March 5 on in Back of the Walls Street. This then led to a raid on an address in Briton Street later the same day with a warrant. A large quantity of drugs and cash were seized along with a number of phones and items associated with drugs supply. Mohammed Prince-Islam, 34, of Briton Street, Southampton, has been charged with three offences of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs - crack cocaine, heroin and cocaine.
