Detectives Searching For Man Seen Taking Pictures Of Children At Santa Clarita Central Park
Detectives are asking Santa Clarita Valley residents to help identify an individual who was allegedly taking photos of children at Central Park Saturday.
On Saturday, deputies began receiving reports of a man allegedly taking photos of children at Central Park in Saugus, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station in a Facebook post.
“The male was seen photographing juveniles at Central Park during a volleyball game,” Arriaga said. “When the informant attempted to contact the individual, he ran away onto Bouquet Canyon Road into the wash area and out of view.”
Santa Clarita Crime Suppression Operation Nets Six Arrests
During a crime suppression operation in Santa Clarita Tuesday, deputies arrested six individuals including one individual for allegedly having a “large” amount of narcotics.
On Tuesday afternoon deputies with the Juvenile Intervention Team, (J-Team) arrested six individuals during a crime suppression operation throughout the City of Santa Clarita, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“One arrest was that of a male adult for possessing a large amount of heroin and fentanyl for sales,” Arriaga said.
The smallest amount of fentanyl can cause a fatal overdose, and is often laced onto other drugs without the user’s knowledge, Arriaga added.

The Child & Family Center’s Domestic Violence Program in Santa Clarita offers services to provide safety, shelter, and support to survivors of domestic violence while working to break the cycle of abuse and creating healthy relationships, officials said.
With a focus on client-centered trauma, the program is set to enable individuals to achieve physical and emotional safety and heal relationships.
Other provided services include education classes, individual and group counseling, and a 30 day crisis shelter for individuals and their children fleeing domestic violence.

Two Possible Murder Suspects Detained At Santa Clarita Gas Station
Two possible murder suspects were detained Friday morning at a Santa Clarita Valley gas station.
UPDATE (2:30 p.m.): Deputies have taken one murder suspect into custody after he allegedly shot and killed a 19-year-old pregnant woman, Tatyanna Lopez, in the City of Merced Sunday, according to a statement from the Merced Police Department.
A 20-year-old man was also injured in the shooting, and was taken to a trauma hospital with life threatening injuries, the statement read.
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies were made aware that the suspect was possibly in the Castaic area, where two individuals were located, according to officials.
Nearly 20 Pounds Of Cocaine Confiscated By Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Deputies, Suspect Arrested
A suspect was arrested by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies during a crime suppression operation Wednesday after he was allegedly in possession of almost 20 pounds of cocaine.
On Wednesday, a crime suppression operation was conducted by the Special Assignment Team (SAT) throughout the City of Santa Clarita, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The operation “led to the arrest of a male adult after he was found in possession of approximately 9 kilos of cocaine and a counterfeit residency card,” Arriaga said.
