SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - A man was arraigned on Thursday after violating felony probation, Shasta County District Attorney’s Office said.
Ian Thomas Anderson was found on a high school campus while on probation for child pornography.
On April 22, Anderson was sentenced to probation for using a minor to cre3ate child pornography and false personation.
DA: Former Redding police corporal arrested on 2 felony charges
A former Redding Police Corporal has been arrested on two felony cases, according to the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office.

REDDING, Calif. – A former Redding Police Corporal has been arrested on two felony cases, according to the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office.
The charges come from a 2020 investigation by CHP Investigative Services Unit into Williams’ involvement with a large-scale marijuana cultivation and distribution operation in Shasta County, the DA’s Office said.
Throughout the investigation, authorities said they became aware that Williams had secretly recorded a confidential communication in an unrelated matter.
Trucks collide in Redding construction site Wednesday morning
Passengers in a construction vehicle suffered minor injuries in a construction zone vehicle collision in Redding, police said.

REDDING, Calif. - Redding Police Department responded to a traffic collision in a construction zone at the 4100 block of Bechelli Lane, according to Redding Police Department.
Two vehicles, a 2002 Ford F150 and a 2012 Ford F450, were involved in the collision just before 6 a.m.
The driver and passengers of the Ford F450 suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision and received medical attention after the collision.
Police: Man stabbed after attempting to break into Redding home
Redding police are investigating a stabbing during a suspected home invasion in the 2200 block of Venus Way on Thursday evening, authorities said.
Officers were dispatched to the Venus Way address around 6 p.m. for a report of a man trying to force his way into a home.
Christian Phelps, 19, of Redding, told police that he stabbed the intruder, who was later identified as Charles Benson Jr., 27, of Redding, investigators said.
Benson left the house in a vehicle and was later located several blocks away by a California Highway Patrol officer.
“I do believe there are probably more incidents than we should have when it comes to officers using lethal force,” said Glenn Jones of Redding. “I believe they should be retrained to use non-lethal.”
Lt. Levi Solada has been with the Redding Police Department for several years and said he hasn t seen an unjustified shooting during his time with the department.
“Our officers have the utmost respect for members of this community,” said Lt. Solada. “The public s safety is our priority, our officer s safety is our priority, and even the people we come into contact with, their safety is our priority.”
