The 15 MW solar plant of SCCL synchronised with the grid in Mandamarri area on Thursday.
Another 15 megawatt capacity solar power plant of Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) was synchronised with the grid on Thursday at Mandamarri in Mancherial district, taking the total solar capacity of the coal company linked to the grid to 124 MW.
The Mandamarri plant is part of the 300 MW solar capacity planned by the company and is part of the 90 MW plants in the area. Director (E&M) D. Satyanarayana Rao switched on the plant for synchronisation with the grid. Area General Manager of SCCL Ch. Srinivas and others were present.

The Coal Mines Officers Association of Singareni Collieries Company Ltd has thanked Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao increasing the retirement age for employees of public sector undertakings along with State government staff from 58 years to 61 years and requested the SCCL management to implement it in the coal company immediately. In a statement, president of CMOA J. Ramesh and general secretary N.V. Rajasekhar requested the company management to implement the retirement age increase along with other welfare schemes.

At a time when COVID cases are increasing again across the country, including Telangana, the management of Singareni Collieries Company Ltd. (SCCL) has decided to roll out the vaccination cover to all its employees and workers and their family members.
The decision was taken after Chairman and Managing Director of the company N. Sridhar spoke to government officials including the Director of Public Health. Accordingly, all employees and workers of the company along with their family members in the priority group – aged above 45 with co-morbidities would be administered vaccine at all the area hospitals and dispensaries of the company.
