Nigel Farage has said his new party Reform UK is now “up and running” in Scotland, with the appointment of former Tory MSP Michelle Ballantyne as leader north of the border.

Former Conservative MSP Michelle Ballantyne has been announced as the leader of Scotland’s newest political party.
Ms Ballantyne, who previously hoped to be Scottish Tory leader, now takes on the role for Reform UK Scotland.
She described the new party as being “pro Scotland and pro the UK”, adding that this was “simply the best choice for the people of these islands”.

Nigel Farage said the Reform Party will have a voice in Scottish Parliament, adding that there is not enough debate in Scotland. He pledged his party would take on Nicola Sturgeon s campaign to bring Scotland out of the United Kingdom. Mr Farage also welcomed Michelle Ballantyne as the Reform Party s new leader in Scotland, calling her someone who was not afraid to stand up and fight.
