Mail carrier heads to hospital after dog attack in Berea

BEREA, Ohio A U.S. mail carrier, 62, drove herself to Southwest General Health Center Jan. 9 after she was attacked and bitten by a loose German shepherd-rottweiler mix while delivering mail at about 1:30 p.m. on Hamilton Street.
The dog had escaped a home through the front door as a woman who lives in the home and co-owns the dog with her husband checked the mailbox. The dog knocked over the woman as she ran past her. The woman’s husband chased the dog, but didn’t catch her right away.
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The city recorded its 200th death attributed to COVID-19 coronavirus when it noted one new death on Wednesday, Mayor Frank Jackson’s administration announced. CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cuyahoga County Board of Health, which until now has given all coronavirus inoculations at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds, fire stations or aboard a mobile unit, will administer the vaccine Saturday at Euclid’s E-Check office at 1750 Metro Drive.
Anyone in the so-called Phase 1A group designated to receive the inoculations can register at http://www.ccbh.net/vax/ to receive the vaccine in Euclid on Saturday or otherwise at the fairgrounds today, well as on Jan. 20 and Jan. 27.
