TEENAGE boys have been charged after a stabbing in Leigh. The teenagers, aged 15 and 17, will appear at court today following the attack in The Broadway on Thursday night. The victim, also a teenager, was stabbed at around 8.50pm. He was taken to hospital for further treatment, but his injuries are not considered to be life threatening or life changing. The 17-year-old from Leigh has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a Class B drug in relation to the incident. The 15-year-old boy from Westcliff has been charged with two counts of possession of a bladed article.
A pet centre has been fined £185,000 and its owner sentenced to 200-hours of unpaid work after a lorry driver was left tetraplegic in an incident where an 800kg pallet fell on him.
