It was the second straight day the numbers were in the 50s – after two days in the 20s – with the Mother’s Day weekend looming. Mother’s Day last year marked the start of the first case surge in the county.

The Solano County Public Health Division reported 25 confirmed cases, taking the total to 32,613. “We have been here before. Solano County announces Covid-19 vaccination clinics FAIRFIELD The Solano County Public Health Division, in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, NorthBay Healthcare, Partnership Healthplan California, Touro University California, Medic Ambulance and several other local agencies, has announced a series of upcoming Covid-19 vaccination clinics. Anyone 16 or 17 can only receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to the appointment, or have a parent/guardian who can be contacted by phone during the appointment. (Aaron Rosenblatt/Daily Republic) Food distribution event shows need during Covid still very real SUISUN CITY Organizers of a free food distribution event Friday in Suisun City expected to give away 1,200 boxes filled with milk, yogurt, cooked meats and produce – a clear indication that some individuals are still in great need due to the curtailing response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Free Food for Solano was organized by Heather Pierini in response to the need during the pandemic, and she partnered with Suisun City Vice Mayor Wanda Williams for this event at the Joseph A. Nelson Community Center.
