TRS, BJP govts neglected Hyderabad’s Old City: Congress

Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress on Tuesday accused the ruling Telangan Rashtra Samithi (TRS of neglecting the Old City areas of Hyderabad over the last seven years.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and member of Parliament (MP) from the Nalgonda seat N. Uttam Kumar Reddy accused the state government and the BJP government at the Centre of “completely neglecting” Hyderabad, especially the Old City.
“Chief minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao never visited the Old City in the last seven years. He did not hold a single review meeting since 2014 to understand or resolve the problems being faced by the residents of Old City of Hyderabad, although he had promised to develop this region as the next Istanbul,” Reddy said.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President & MP Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has asked Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao to release the data of unemployed youth in Telangana State.
Uttam Kumar Reddy was addressing the meeting with States heads of TPCC Frontal, Departments and Cells at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday in connection with MLC elections for two Graduates constituencies of Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda and Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar. The meeting was attended by Balamuri Venkat (NSUI), Shivasena Reddy (Youth Congress), Preetham (SC Dept), Shaik Abdullah Sohail (Minorities Dept), Vinod (NRI Cell), Jagan Naik (ST Dept), Mettu Sai (Fishermen Cell) and other senior leaders. He urged them to activate the cadre at all levels in those six districts to ensure the victory of Congress candidates Ramulu Naik and G. Chinna Reddy.

Betrayal of Telangana by the ruling parties in the State and at the Centre, Telangana Rahstra Samithi (TRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) respectively, is going on unabated since 2014, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged here on Monday.
The two parties are sabotaging the State’s economy and ruining the careers of lakhs of youth. “They have done gross injustice with Telangana ever since they came to power in 2014,” he said adding that the wrong policies of the State and Centre pushed Telangana into a debt trap while eroding lakhs of jobs and future opportunities. Both the parties are responsible for turning Telangana into a crisis State so as to extract political benefits, he observed.
