Classes in Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) will be conducted in online mode only, the institution said in a set of guidelines on Tuesday in view of the rising number of coronavirus cases in the national capital.
Effective immediately, the university, however, allowed research scholars to continue their academic work with the consent of their supervisors. Teaching/learning for undergraduate and postgraduate students will continue in the online mode only in all the faculties, departments, centres and institutions of the University, the notice said.

All the postponed Allahabad University Exams 2021 will be conducted from April 30, 2021, onward. AU will begin the undergraduate, postgraduate, Law and Professional course examination at the end of the month. Students must note that the new revised time table for Allahabad University Exams 2021 will be available soon on the official website, allduniv.ac.in. Earlier, the Au exams 2021 were scheduled to begin on April 3, 2021.
In a first for Jharkhand, a transgender person became a member of a National Lok Adalat bench, organised by the District Legal Services Authority at the Ranchi civil court on Saturday.
Amruta Alpesh Soni, 38, from Sholapur district in Maharashtra, was part of the National Lok Adalat’s bench number 19, which also comprised judicial magistrate, Ranchi, Manish Kumar Singh, and Nityanand Singh, panel lawyer (DLSA Ranchi).
Lok Adalat is a forum where the disputes/cases pending in the court of law or at pre-litigation stage are settled/compromised amicably. The Lok Adalat has been given statutory status under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987.
