San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, together with city government officials and staff, distributed food packs and hygiene kits to the city’s PWDs. The LGU also dedicated the day for the vaccination of PWDs at the city’s primary vaccination hub FilOil Flying V Center.

During the event, Zamora assured the city’s PWDs that the local government will continue to boost its healthcare system to further assist them in their medications and treatments. He added that the city government is also planning to create various programs dedicated to PWDs in the city.

The San Juan City local government inaugurated on Monday, July 19, its third vaccination site to further boost its vaccination capabilities, especially amid the threat of the COVID-19 Delta variant.
San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora led the launch together with other city government officials. The city’s newest vaccination site is located at the third floor events place of VMall in Greenhills.

The site can accommodate 1,000 vaccinees a day and will increase the city’s daily vaccination rate to 5,000 jabs, including jabs done at the city’s primary vaccination sites FilOil Flying V Centre and Theatre Mall Cinemas 1 and 2.

“We are happy to announce that as of July 14, the city government of San Juan has already vaccinated a total of 100,217 individuals with their first dose,” San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said in a statement.
“According to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the projected population of San Juan for 2021 is 123,031, 70 percent of which is 86,122. Thus, San Juan has already vaccinated 116 percent of its target population. Based on the Asian Development Bank, the 2021 projected population of San Juan is 132,512, 70 percent of which is 92,858. With that, San Juan has already vaccinated 108 percent of its target population,” he added.
