CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - Itâs a special week for Teal Nation as the Coastal Carolina Football team will play in its first-ever bowl game this weekend. The No. 9 Chanticleers will clash with the No. 23 Liberty Flames in the FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl in Orlando on Saturday, Dec. 26.

CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) â Teal Nation is mourning the loss of one of its greats.
Taliaferro, a native of Yorktown, Virginia, attended Coastal Carolina from 2012-2013 and was a standout in the backfield.
âAlways hard when you lose one of your own family members. Love you, Zo!â a tweet from the Chanticleers football teamâs Twitter account said Thursday morning.
The tweet was accompanied by photos of Taliaferro in his teal jersey, along with the hashtag #CoastalFamily.

CONWAY, S.C. (WCSC) - Coastal Carolina and head football coach Jamey Chadwell have agreed to a contract extension that will keep the coach with the Chanticleers through 2027.

The deal comes as Chadwell has led Coastal to the best season in program history at 10-0 and just days before they play Louisiana for a Sun Belt championship.
