The four victims of Monday s Dunedin supermarket stabbing attack are all improving in hospital, while the man allegedly responsible has been charged with four counts of attempted murder.
New details of the horrific attack are emerging as more people present at the Dunedin Countdown supermarket share their accounts.
Two supermarket staff and a Corrections officer were among those injured.
Jenna McDowell said she was was in the toiletries aisle when she heard screaming. I kinda looked up and then realised that one of the staff members had been stabbed. He was just on top of her, stabbing her. She had blood around her face and I just kind of froze, Ms McDowell told TVNZ.

A 42-year-old man has appeared in the Dunedin District Court this afternoon charged with four counts of attempted murder after he allegeldy stabbed two Countdown staffers and a couple shopping in the supermarket just after 2.30pm.

The ODT reports the 42-year-old appeared in the Dunedin District Court this afternoon, facing four charges of attempted murder after allegedly attacking two staff members and a married couple at the Cumberland Street Countdown yesterday.
The man appeared in the dock wearing a white cover-all garment, bare-footed with a white plaster on his right forearm.
He stood with his head bowed in the dock only looking up when the judge addressed him.
Two police officers, one of whom was off duty, were at scene of the stabbing at a Dunedin supermarket and were among those who stepped in, police say.
The 42-year-old man accused of stabbing four people at a Dunedin supermarket was remanded in custody after he briefly appeared in the Dunedin District Court this afternoon to face four charges of attempted murder related to a stabbing attack at the Countdown supermarket on Cumberland Street yesterday.
