TS to chalk out new strategy on registration of non-agricultural properties

Hyderabad: The Telangana government will decide on Saturday whether to file an appeal against the High Court order on registration of non-agricultural properties or prepare guidelines as per its direction.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will hold a high-level review meeting to chalk out strategy for registration of non-agriculture lands and properties registration in view of the orders given by the High Court on Thursday.
According to Chief Minister’s Office, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and senior official of the revenue department will participate in the review meeting. It also stated that the copy of High Court orders hasn’t reached the state government as yet.

NEW DELHI: In a relief for the Telangana Government over the Coronavirus testing in the State, the Supreme Court stayed the Contempt of Court Notice to Public Health Director Dr G Srinivas Rao issued by the Telangana High Court on Wednesday.
A bench consisting of Justices Ashok Bhushan, R Subhash Reddy and MR Shala on Wednesday heard a petition filed by the Telangana government challenging the High Court order. Senior advocate NK Kaul who was representing on behalf of the Telangana government, said that the State was conducting all the tests required for the combating the Coronovirus. He also explained that it was difficult to conduct 50,000 tests a day.
HC directs Jalpally Municipal Commissioner to clear Osman Nagar’s stagnant water

Hyderabad: Telangana State High Court has directed Jalpally Municipal Commissioner to clear stagnant water from Osman Nagar, Shaheen Nagar and adjoining areas within 15 days.
The order was passed by a bench of Chief Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan and Justice B Vijaysen Reddy after hearing the petition filed by residents Syeda Begum and Syed Bilal.
According to the report published in New Indian Express, the court has also directed him to take necessary steps to prevent spread of waterborne diseases in the locality.

Govt. had promised not to insist on Aadhar details for slot booking, PTIN
The Telangana High Court has faulted the government for not abiding by the assurances given to the court with regard to registration of non-agricultural properties.
The court said the government had assured that there would be no insistence on submission of Aadhar number for either slot booking or for generating Property Tax Index Number, but failed in its implementation. It was not proper on the part of the government to insist on Aadhar number for obtaining PTIN.
IPS officer Shahnawaz Qasim appointed CEO Telangana Wakf Board

Hyderabad: Following a direction from the Telangana High Court, the Government on Monday appointed DIG rank IPS officer Shahnawaz Qasim as the new CEO of State Wakf Board.
Shahnawaz Qasim belongs to 2003 IPS batch and has been allotted to Telangana cadre during the bifurcation of the united Andhra Pradesh.
He has earlier worked as CEO Telangana State wakf board for a short time before he was posted as
