Effective Friday, December 11, 2020, fuel prices for both regular gasoline and kerosene went up. According to a press release from the Government of Belize, the Ministry of Finance has announced these increases which reflect current demand and supply conditions of crude oil in the international petroleum market. Likewise, they also echo fluctuations in the acquisition price of refined fuel products in the countries from which Belize obtains its supplies. Regular Gasoline has increased by 48 cents, from $8.61 to $9.09 per gallon and kerosene has increased by 1 dollar from $4.73 to $5.73 per gallon. The prices for premium gasoline and diesel will remain unchanged at $9.49 and $8.11 per gallon, respectively.
