The Southern Minnesota Medical Examiner’s Office says 63-year-old Michael Charles Apicella, of Black River Falls, Wisconsin, died of to two self-inflicted gunshot wounds to the head. According to a news release Wednesday, three Minnesota State Patrol troopers stopped a semitruck for a vehicle inspection at about 6:45 a.m. They attempted to detain the driver for failing to produce identification at about 8:30 a.m. That s when the driver, now identified as Apicella, fired his weapon.
