New $30m boost to manufacturing commercialisation

Australian manufacturers are set to receive a new boost to their efforts to commercialise world-beating ideas, with the Morrison government announcing a new $30 million support fund.
Industry, Science and Technology Minister Karen Andrews said the plan would help create more local jobs in Australia, while bringing together business leaders and specialist researchers in the COVID-19 recovery.

“Making science and technology work for industry is one of the central pillars of our government’s $1.5 billion modern manufacturing strategy and this fund is just one of the ways we’re delivering on that,” she said.
